Kabesera Café

Art loop

Art loop

Petroglyphs, Botong, studios. Coffee first, last light here.

  1. 01

    8:00 – 9:00

    Kabesera deck

    Eastridge Village

Start on the ridge. Single-origin pour, a look at Laguna de Bay, and a short briefing for the day. Eastridge sits between Angono and Binangonan — the loop begins at your table.

  2. 02

    9:15 – 10:30

    Angono–Binangonan Petroglyphs

    Binangonan rock shelter

The oldest known artwork in the Philippines: about 127 human and animal figures cut into volcanic tuff around 3000 BC. A National Cultural Treasure. Botong Francisco found them in 1965 on a Boy Scout hike. View from the deck — the rock is not to be touched.

  3. 03

    11:00 – 12:00

    Botong’s house & street murals

    Doña Aurora Street, Angono poblacion

Carlos “Botong” V. Francisco, National Artist for Painting. The ancestral house and studio hold his work; a highway bust and the Pista sa Nayon relief mark the street. Concrete murals nearby translate his paintings onto the walls you walk.

  4. 04

    12:00 – 1:30

    Lunch

Ridge or poblacion — pick one

Eat after Botong, while you are already in town — or climb back to Kabesera for the view. Three recommendations sit below the loop.

  5. 05

    1:45 – 2:45

    Blanco Family Museum

    Angono poblacion

The Blanco clan — led by Jose “Pitok” Blanco — painted Angono’s own life: fishing, fiestas, and the Higantes. Giant papier-mâché figures often greet the gate. A living family atelier, not a silent white cube.

  6. 06

    3:00 – 4:00

    Nemiranda Art Haus

    Angono poblacion

Nemesio Miranda Jr.’s house-studio of “imaginative figurism.” Dreamlike figures, local myth, and a working artist’s rooms. Pair with a slow walk for smaller ateliers that still open their gates to visitors.

  7. 07

    4:30 – sunset

    Return to the ridge

    Kabesera

Back for golden hour on the decks. City lights follow. If lunch was in town, this is the hour for coffee — or a K-Boodle if the day should end as a feast.

Lunch recommendations

One sit-down is enough. Choose the ridge, the heritage house in town, or a light noon and a feast when the sun drops.

Kabesera — ridge table

15–20 minutes back to Eastridge

The view lunch. Hold a deck or cabana before you leave in the morning. Pokbod bowls and plates (adobo, kalderita, sisig) for two to four; K-Boodle if the van is a crowd. Book it with the day so the kitchen is ready when you climb back.

Balaw-Balaw

Doña Justa, Angono poblacion

Heritage house, folk-art gallery, and a kitchen of traditional — and occasionally exotic — Filipino cooking. Stay in town between Botong and Blanco. Ask for a table; it is a destination of its own, not a quick carinderia.

Light in poblacion, feast at sunset

Town snacks, then Kabesera

A merienda in the poblacion — then save appetite for golden hour. We hold a K-Boodle or a long table for 4:30. Best if the group would rather walk the galleries without a long sit-down at noon.

Hold a sunset table

Best day

A weekday morning is quieter at the Petroglyphs and studios. November’s Higantes Sunday is its own pilgrimage — reserve the ridge early.

Getting around

Private car or booked van is easiest. Petroglyphs sit toward Binangonan; the house-museums cluster in Angono poblacion. Allow buffer for village roads.

With Kabesera

Tell us which lunch you want when you reserve. We can hold a late table, a K-Boodle, or just coffee for the last light.
