The other National Artist — Lucio San Pedro

Lucio San Pedro, National Artist for Music, is Angono’s other name. Sa Ugoy ng Duyan is the lullaby the country still hums.

The town does not split the two men. A day that only sees Botong has missed the air. Ask in the poblacion where the music house is keeping his things this season — studios rotate what they show.

Come back to the ridge at dusk. The wind does the rest of the lullaby.
