How a barangay group becomes a coop
CDA and many LGUs walk farmers’ associations through conversion. Fifteen Filipino members, a Pre-Membership Education Seminar, articles of cooperation, and ₱2,000 paid-up for a primary coop. Then the papers the kitchen verifies: barangay clearance and the Mayor’s / BPLO permit.
- 01Reserve a name that includes Cooperative (CDA, ₱100–₱300).
- 02File articles, bylaws, economic survey, PMES certificates, treasurer’s affidavit.
- 03Receive the CDA Certificate of Registration (review within 30 days).
- 04Barangay clearance, then Mayor’s / BPLO permit, locational, fire, sanitary.
- 05BIR COR, books, and official receipts. Open a bank account in the coop name.
